Family & EMS do not mix!

There are alot of professions out there are made perfect for single life. My husband the paramedic just happens to have one of those. Like doctors, and firefighters ( which is also is) paramedics put everyone first, that is except their families. Its the families who spend atleast a 24 hours shift away from their husband and daddy. Its the families who cant sit down to a dinner because thats just asking for tones to drop. Its me the mommy who listens to her 4 and 3 year say comments like "daddy just dont want to come home, or daddy dont like to be here". I know alot of people put alot of medics and firefighters in the hero cateagory. It's hard for to try and do that when I'm sour at how someone could give there all for strangers but their families rest on the back burner.

Thats just alittle vent for today. We are supposed to be cleaning and packing for vacation as of right now. But he went in to work to help cover a wreck that im sure no one would have come to help him out with if it had been his day to work. Ive got all of the cleaning done, which Im not supposed to be doing in the first place. My ob has put on limited activity because my blood pressure has been up and at my last check up there was protein in my urine.

Today is a day of reflection........

In 3 short but busy days me, hubby, and our 31/2 kids will be heading to Gatlinburg. This is a much needed vacation for all parties. In preparation for our trip I dug out the point and shoot kodak. To my amazement there was well over 300 pics on it. Out entire summer it seemed was waiting on the SD card. How patiently it waiting to be viewed and uploaded to myspace. lol There were pictures from our trip to the Zoo and the babies first trip to Kings Island, Calli's first ever beauty pageant, and endless amounts of daily couch session with me and Piper.

As I uploaded I scrolled down the hundreds upon hundreds of photos on the computer and came across an album of Piper's birth. Has it really been almost 2 years now? Calli's hair was much shorter than, and Eli was so round and chubby. I was reminded of the time when I called him my chubby bunny. Time flies so quickly!

Also today I found a journal that me and Derrick kept when we first started dating (Oct of 2002). He was still in college then and only got to see me on weekends. We couldnt even talk to each other everyday, because we couldnt afford it. We basically got to know each other through this journal . We would write it all week long, and then swtich off when the weekend came so we could read it. I dont know where the idea came from, but Im sooooo thankful that we did it. So I  found it today and was in complete awww at how much things have changed.  We have gone from a new couple to saying those first "I love You's " to being married, and now having 3 kids and another on the way. This journal is something Iwill always cherish, and I admit i wish we would have kept up with it. My how interesting of a read would that have been now? I think its something atleast I will try and do.

As for now this ends my first post. Ive got packing for 5 people to do.... Wish me Luck Bloggers
